ANNOUNCEMENT
Be advised that the latest TRG Group Project has been
announced and is currently underway. This years project is
actually an individual (or teams of 2) project. All teams
will design and build a rocket to a specific mission criteria.
Only teams with at least one TRG Member will be accepted, but
joining TRG is easy. Just drop me an email at

The criteria is for this year's project is: Design, Build and Fly a scratch or kit
rocket carrying a standard major league baseball (3" diameter
and mass of 5 ounces) to an altitude
of exactly 1000 feet, remain aloft for the longest time
possible, and land safely and gently with specific areas of the
baseball exposed to sunlight, ie not inside a payload bay.
Teams may get "degree of difficulty" points and extra points for
cleverness in design. Any combination of certified motors
(single motors, clusters, or staging) are allowed with a maximum
total impulse of G-class (less than or equal to 160 newton-seconds).
